Timeline for the 2023-2024 Academic Year

President Wilson has asked a Charter Committee Workgroup to review university charter committees.  The Workgroup includes representatives from Faculty Senate, Staff Council, UI Student Government, and the Office of the President and will address the following areas:

• Review of the General Charter of University Committees [2.8(6)] of the UI Policy Manual
• Review the structure and operational processes for university charter committees
• Make recommendations as to whether university charter committees should be established, modified, or disestablished

The Workgroup plans to provide recommendations to President Wilson by August 2023.  UI Student Government will delay selection of representatives to charter committees until Fall of 2023 so that any potential changes to the committees can be reflected in the selection process.  Additional information on applications and timelines will be available on the USG website by September 1st, 2023. Thank you for your interest in serving on university charter committees.
