Hometown: Coggon, IA

Year: Fourth-Year

Major: Sociology

Minors: Spanish and Anthropology

Additional Involvement: Office Assistant in the Office of the Dean of Students; Research Assistant in Department of Sociology and Criminology

Why Did You Join USG?: I applied to join Undergraduate Student Government two years ago because I wanted to learn about how I could make an impact on students' lives at Iowa. Since starting in the organization, I have learned so much about the power of students voices, how our University functions, and how to lead and contribute to a team!

What Are You Most Looking Forward to This Term?: José and I are excited to work to provide better mental health services, especially for BIPOC and underserved students and improving leadership experiences for students running student organizations. I am also excited about shifting and improving vital student services, making USG's website and communications more accessible to all students, and continuing to share resources and introduce administrators, faculty and staff via our podcast, USG for U!
