What the Committee Does

This committee works to consistently advocate for the concerns of students who have been historically minoritized and oppressed on campus. It addresses social justice issues in collaboration with diverse student organizations and communities to support all students. By centering equity and inclusion, this work aims to uplift and empower all students, ensuring that their voices are heard, their experiences are validated, and that the campus environment is one where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Why It Matters

This work is important because it actively cultivates a more inclusive and supportive environment for all students, particularly those from historically marginalized or underrepresented backgrounds. By addressing systemic barriers and promoting equity, it ensures that every student—regardless of their background—has access to the resources, opportunities, and support they need to thrive both academically and personally. Creating such spaces not only benefits individuals but also strengthens the entire campus community by fostering a culture of belonging, understanding, and shared success.

Creation of the BRIDGE Fund
