As a part of National First-Generation Celebration Week, student leaders from USG, CAB, and Dance Marathon will be talking about their experience as the first-generation students at the University of Iowa. The Zoom Meeting takes place on Monday, November 16th at 6:30 PM.
Verona Victoria is a third-year student at the University of Iowa studying Psychology and Sociology. Verona joined student government in Spring of 2019 as a Senator-At-Large and currently serves as the Director of Health & Safety for the 2020-21 school year.
John Dickens is a second-year student at the University of Iowa studying Political Science and Public Health. John joined student government in Fall of 2019 as a first-year senator and will serve as the Director of Governmental Relations for the 2020-21 school year.
ORG TIP$ Partnership with Late Night Programming events:Undergraduate Student Government and Late Night Programs have partnered to provide additional well-being and harm reduction options for student organizations through the Org TIP$ incentive program. These trainings provide a leadership development lens to harm reduction topics.

The Iowa Legislature’s decision to cut $8 million in important funding for higher education at a time when students and their families are struggling with a once-in-a-generation economic crisis is short-sighted and deeply disappointing.
