The Asian American Coalition (AAC), Association of Latino’s Moving Ahead (ALMA), The African Student Association (ASA), Campus Activities Board (CAB) and the Indian Student Alliance (ISA), Organization for the Active Support of International Students (OASIS), University of Iowa Student Government (UISG), Walk it Out (WIO), would like to invite you and members of your organizations to the second annual ‘Multicultural Formal’

This collaborative effort aims to promote diversity through a large-scale formal event between all student organizations on campus. Our goal through this event is to build stronger relationships between student organizations and provide the opportunity for students to network with one another for future collaborations. Through this diversity initiative, we hope to create an inclusive multicultural community for all. We encourage student leaders to attend this formal, as this will be a great opportunity to showcase the events of your organizations..

The event will feature a mixer companied by an array of ethnic foods, following by an acapella performance from Sunday Afternoon, and a DJ will be mixing diverse genres of music with an open dance floor

Event Details: Saturday, April 6 starting at 8 pm at the University of Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame. Free appetizers, transportation, and a DJ will be provided. The event will feature an Acapella Performance by “Sunday Afternoon” at 8:30 pm.

Notes:

  • To clear any confusion you all may have, you are encouraged to wear traditional clothes or any formal attire.
  • We also have an updated Cambus pick up and drop off schedule coming soon. There will be 2 buses with confirmed pick up stops at Currier Hall, IMU, and Rienow. Stay tuned for the times.
