The University of Iowa Student Government (UISG) is looking for hard-working, committed undergraduate student leaders to apply for positions within our organization. We have openings for At-Large Senators and one opening for a Communications Assistant. Students applying for these positions will be selected through an application and interview process.

 

As an At-Large Senator, you will participate in the UISG Student Senate by attending weekly meetings (Tuesdays at 7:00 PM), working on initiatives to improve our campus, and voicing undergraduate constituent concerns. At-Large Senators work to represent over 20,000 undergraduate students at the University of Iowa.


UISG is also looking for a Communications Assistant. The Communications Assistant will work with the UISG Communications Director, Executives, and Senators to promote the work of the student government. The Communications Assistant is responsible for helping the Communications Director generate content for all UISG social media accounts and the UISG website. In addition, they will help to communicate information about UISG and UISG-sponsored activities to outside parties, including the University of Iowa and Iowa City communities. Individuals interested in social media marketing, graphic design, and public relations should apply. The Communication Assistant position is available for the Spring 2017 semester. The position will serve 5 hours per week.

January 22: Interviews will occur. Please do not schedule anything on this day
