Biography

As Director of Finance, I oversee both USG’s internal financial operations and the external funding process for student organizations, which I manage through the Student Budgeting, Allocation, and Auditing Committee (SABAC). Internally, I collaborate with branch leadership to draft the annual budget, manage contracts with external vendors, and provide financial insight across USG initiatives. Externally, I lead the SABAC committee in allocating funding to Campus Life Organizations (CLOs) and School Sponsored Organizations (SSOs). Most CLOs receive annual funding through USG’s fixed operational expenses, while SSOs can request up to $15,000 via the SABAC form on Engage. These requests are reviewed on a bi-weekly basis by the SABAC committee, which consists of members of the finance team. Each funding request is evaluated against established finance guidelines, and once approved, it is submitted to the Student Organization Budgeting Office (SOBO) for disbursement to the appropriate account.
