UISG is proud to name Hira Mustafa and Heath Schintler of the UI SURGE Party the undergraduate students' pick for President and Vice President!

Find more information on Hira and Heath and the SURGE party's platform here.

37 at-large senatorial seats were up for election, seven of which are reserved for independent senators. Because five of the senators who ran did not meet the 10 percent of votes required to receive a seat, only two independent seats were filled in this election.

Below are the independent senatorial candidates receiving 10 percent of total votes, who will receive seats on the UISG Senate:

*Note: These are preliminary results, awaiting certification by the UISG Elections Commissioner as defined by the UISG Elections Code.

The recent UISG presidential election worked using an instant-runoff ranked order voting system, in which each student could rank the 4 executive tickets in order of preference, or alternatively not select any additional executive tickets, in which your ballot will become an “exhausted ballot” if your selected executive tickets are eliminated. A ticket needs to reach 50% of the total votes to be declared the winner.
