The University of Iowa Student Government (UISG) is looking for hard-working, committed undergraduate student leaders to apply for Freshman or At-Large Senator positions. Students will be selected through an application and interview process to represent over 20,000 undergraduate students at the University of Iowa. As a Senator, you will participate in the UISG Student Senate by attending weekly meetings (Tuesdays at 7:00 PM), working on initiatives to improve our campus, and voicing undergraduate constituent concerns. 

You can be in any year of your undergraduate studies to apply for the At-Large Senator position, but you MUST be a first-year undergraduate to apply for the Freshman Senator position.

Freshman Senator: 5 positions available 

At-Large Senator: 4 positions available 

 

Application timeline:

August 15th: UISG applications go live.

September 2nd: Freshman and At-Large Senator applications are due.

September 11th: Interviews will take place.

September 13th: New Senators attend first meeting.
