The Undergraduate Student Government (USG) and Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) are thrilled to announce the launch of the Uber Ride Share Initiative, a groundbreaking collaboration with Uber aimed at enhancing student safety and facilitating late-night transportation around campus. Through this program, students are offered an opportunity to receive a $5 discount on their next late-night Uber ride, making journeys across campus and to key locations more accessible and affordable.
To receive a voucher, students need to sign up via the link below. Upon completion of the form, each student will receive a one-time voucher, granting a $5 deduction on their subsequent ride within the 3-mile designated service area, shown on the map to the left. This specially defined zone encompasses residence halls, downtown Iowa City, and off-campus housing options, including the Quarters, Hawks Ridge, and more, ensuring comprehensive coverage of student-centric locations.
Redeeming your voucher is straightforward and integrated seamlessly into the Uber app experience, ensuring a hassle-free process to benefit from the subsidized rate.
Please Note: This initiative is scheduled to run through the end of the academic year or until the allocated vouchers are fully claimed, whichever comes first. We encourage students to take advantage of this exceptional offer, designed to support your safety and mobility around campus. Vouchers will only work 10 PM -3 AM from Thursday night to Sunday morning. The vouchers do not apply to Uber Eats.
