Last week, Hurricane Harvey, a Category 4 hurricane made landfall over Texas causing catastrophic flooding and damage in Houston, Galveston, and Corpus Christi. This week we have continued to see the damage expand to areas in Louisiana.
UISG Response to DACA Termination

Dear University of Iowa Students, Today, it was announced that the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program will be terminated in six months. The termination of DACA will revoke the documentation of nearly 800,000 students, many of whom study and work in universities and colleges across the nation.

UISG is currently seeking a dedicated undergraduate student to represent the LGBTQ+ community as a UISG Constituency Senator! This position primarily focuses on advocating for the LGBTQ+ community, as well as helping to create legislation that has positive impact on the community.
